Vitamin K 10mg TROY-K 1 ml Injection

Troy K injection contains Phytomenadione, also known as Vitamin K, which is effective in coagulation of blood. Commonly used in the coagulation disorders which are due to faulty formation of factors II, VII, IX and X when caused by vitamin K deficiency or interference with vitamin K activity. Troy K is indicated for several coagulation disorders including anticoagulant induced prothrombin deficiency, Hypoprothrombinemia due to antibacterial therapy, other drug-induced and secondary to factors limiting absorption or synthesis of vitamin K. Whenever possible, Troy K should be given by intramuscular route. When intravenous administration is considered unavoidable, the drug should be injected very slowly, not exceeding 1 mg per minute. Vitamin K is a fat soluble vitamin that is stable in air and moisture but decomposes in sunlight and hence, Troy K is packed in an amber colored glass ampoule to protect it from sunlight.
